Matthew Basinger - Chicago, Medical Malpractice, Personal Injury

Matthew Basinger holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Ohio University and a law degree from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. He started his career as an assistant prosecuting attorney outside of Cleveland and moved into private practice before relocating to Chicago in 2005 to focus on the personal injury field. He joined Donald A. Shapiro, Ltd. in 2007 and became a partner in 2012. In 2019, the firm was renamed Shapiro, Cohen & Basinger, Ltd. The firm exclusively handles personal injury cases, including medical malpractice, wrongful death, and motor vehicle accidents.
